- Walked to La Palud (more accurately, La Palud-sur-Verdon) through the last part of the Verdun Gorge. Started by going back down into the gorge, then up and down, fairly close to the water some times, above it at others. Water was moving very fast, but we got a toe dip in after lunch (cold). Amazing views. Log walk up out of the gorge to a small cafe, then grabbed a taxi (crazy French driver at the wheel) for the last hiking section, which was all on the road and not too safe.
